Nestled along the wooded terrain of the winding Buffalo Bayou south of Memorial and West of Dairy Ashford, Nottingham Forest VIII is home to approximately 300 families. Memorial, Westheimer and I-10 are nearby major east-west arteries, and Beltway 8 is just minutes away. Our neighborhood is located conveniently for access to nearby business districts, including the Energy Corridor and Westchase. Although the Galleria and downtown are a quick commute, as Nottingham Forest VIII residents we don't have to leave the area to find excellent shopping and dining.
Buffalo Bayou provides the southern border of our neighborhood, and nature enthusiasts enjoy fishing and exploring on its banks and hiking and biking on its asphalt trails. Fitness buffs can hike or bike on the lighted jogging trails in nearby Hershey Park, or walk across the street to Memorial Athletic Club and Aquatic Center. For golfers, Lakeside Country Club is nearby, as are the excellent public courses in Memorial or Bear Creek Parks.
The High test-scores and outstanding reputation of our neighborhood schools, part of the Spring Branch Independent School  District, draw many families to Nottingham Forest VIII.  Young children attend Nottingham Elementary School, while older students attend Spring Forest Middle School and Stratford High School. The Westchester Academy for International Studies, located nearby is a SBISD charter school offering small, personalized classes for students in grades 6-12 who choose to specialize in languages and international affairs.
